As most of you guys know, I made the big switch from Blogger to WordPress a little over a month ago (read all about my transfer here). Since moving, I have really loved exploring WordPress and figuring out which features work best for the direction that I want to go with my blog. One of the biggest perks to WordPress that I have loved having is the wide variety of plugins available for pretty much everything! Being able to choose plugins that help me with SEO, social media promotion, and widgets has been so helpful and having them has really saved me so much time.

My list of absolute favorite plug ins right now is pretty short, but at the top of that list is CoSchedule! Before I even moved over to WordPress, I was so excited to get started with CoSchedule because of the high recommendations that it had from so many of my fellow bloggers. It was one of the first things that I got up and running for my “new” blog and I am so glad that I jumped on that wagon early–it has been a lifesaver!

What is CoSchedule and how do you use it?

CoSchedule is a great, easy-to-use editorial calendar that allows you to schedule out social media promotion from right in your post. You are able to sync your different social media accounts, then schedule out tweets and posts to specific times that you would like them to go out. Scheduling is so simple because you are able to edit promotion for each post from within your editing page, so you can do everything all at one time rather than having to write your post and then use a completely different site or plugin to schedule promotion!

This is what it looks like to schedule within your post editor:

Then, if you would like to add in other promotion for that day or forgot to add something, you can simply visit your calendar, click the pencil, and add in what you need! Everything is so organized and because you can see your months and weeks as a whole, you can get a good idea of where your promotion is heading and which posts are bringing in the most traffic!

This is what the calendar will look like as a whole:

From the full calendar view, you can drag/drop different promotions and even easily share old posts by simply creating a new message and then clicking “share old post.” You don’t have to go through your blog searching for content, but can do all of the searching directly from the CoSchedule calendar! This makes promoting old content SO easy and really allows you to keep a steady flow of traffic coming to your blog at all times!

What does it cost?

Only $10/month! For me, personally, the time that CoSchedule saves me and the ease that it brings to managing my blog is well worth the fee! BUT, even if you aren’t 100% sold that you need CoSchedule (trust me, you do), then you can sign up and try it for a week for free! Once you have signed up for your free trial, you can even extend it by sharing a tweet or post on Facebook! The fact that CoSchedule allows you to really try it out before paying anything speaks volumes for what a great product it is–trust me, you will fall in love by the end of your trial!
